Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick

Hey There…

Is it just me or is everyone feeling that 2014 just started and already a month is going to end?? And worst of all my vacation is over….. :( … I can’t believe how fast the days went by... And we are returning tomorrow.. But at the same time I can’t wait to go and drink in the last bit of winter in Abu Dhabi…

So here’s one last post from Kerala…

Product Claim: Infused with mega-moisturizers to seal in color and softness. Find your lip color amongst a dazzling array of 82 shades in 4 fabulous finishes of Matte, Pearl, Crème and Shine.

Judgement:

Packaging: Have you ever played with makeup when you were small? Well I did and now makeup has changed its face and look so much that you can hardly recognize it.. But here’s a packaging that bought back memories … the packaging is so beautifully crafted to look like ancient and antique-y

Product: This is a beautiful lipstick and in fact one of my faves… It has a gorgeous formula that is not drying and not too moisturizing that it just slips away after some time… It is a balance of both moisturizing capability and staying power. It is a light weight formula and feels super soft. It goes on smooth on the lips and does not tug on the lips and does not enhance the lines and cracks. This stays on my lips for around 2.5 to 3 hrs before fading sets in…

I own:

Mink: This is the first shade that I bought and is my favorite brownie neutral. This is the only neutral shade that I do not have to use a lip liner with and hence it’s my go to lipstick.. It is a cream finish with a slight natural gloss.

I know the photos look terrible.. It's the lighting...

Rum Raisin: I got this shade after I saw it on my friend… A very difficult shade to describe.. It is a stunning soft burnt red with brown undertones and slightly pink. Also in a cream finish.

Price: AED 31

Availability: All Lifestyle stores, BeautyBay and Carrefour

Verdict: Will definitely try other shades.

  1. Lovely review, Irene!.. I love both colors. My preference is matte in most cases but these look really good and that too at a great price!
