Spotting the Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser here in Abu Dhabi I quickly bagged it and went home only to find that the pads included were missing!! And so after a few days I returned it and got a new one and couldn't sit still until I tried it. So I quickly loaded the battery (included) and attached a deep cleansing pad (the pack comes with 14 deep cleansing pack) and rinsed it under the sink. So now GET SET, READY, GO….
Product Claim: The first of its kind, the Neutrogena Wave original vibrating power-cleanser is still shaking up the cleansing world with its gentle vibrations. It's guaranteed to leave skin feeling softer and smoother after just 1 use, and cleans 10x deeper to remove more oil, dirt, and makeup than traditional cleansing. It's so gentle you can use it daily. Plus, it's water-resistant, so you can use it at the sink or in the shower.
Judgment:
Packaging: Includes the device, a battery and 14 deep cleansing pads. The device is very beautifully designed to fit within your hands and with attractive colors (only pink is available here...). The cleansing pads are soft and gentle and do contain a cleanser. You can optionally use your own cleanser on it too. The device just vibrates and you have to rub it on your face gently in circular motion which will cause it to foam.
Performance: I was pretty disappointed to find out that the device just vibrated on your face and also the pads were extremely gently just like a cotton pad. I used it for well over 4-5 minutes because it was so soothing and relaxing (my nose area was feeling ticklish too ... :)). After the procedure I rinsed my face and was really amazed. My face was feeling so clean and brightened. I felt a slight tightness that was quickly remedied by a moisturizer. It does seem to cleanse excellently as when you finally look at the pad it seems to have changed it color considerably. What I like best was that it brightens up your skin a lot that maybe you could even skip your makeup and dare to go out.. Also even though it may seem as a mystery your face is considerably softer even though there is no exfoliation. My face felt like velvet that i couldn't stop touching (which is not a good thing!! :) ) particularly my nose which is always gritty. An added advantage is that the device is water resistant all the way so you can use it in your shower. The cleansing product has a sweet fruity fragrance and did not cause any breakouts or irritation on my face which is a relief. Since this is a deep cleansing product i only use it once a week.

The cleanser contains SLS, Salicyclic acid and Parabens.

Nice review. I have never seen this product though. I have my eyes set on something similar :)
ReplyDeleteI have seen this device in hypermarkets like AD Coop and also in Boots.... But the refill pads was available only in AD Coop...
