When Boots first started in Al Wahda mall I popped in and bought a
strawberry deep conditioner for my hair along with their Botanics line of
cleanser. I vehemently hated the conditioner as it did nothing to my hair and
the cleanser was a huge mistake as it contained some photosensitive ingredients
and warned of plausible sun burn in exceptionally minute inscription. So
recently, I darted in to check on some cosmetics and was quite surprised to
find some cool products that were raved and ranted on YouTube and so that’s how
this series of posts came to being! These series of posts will mainly include
Boots haul and mini reviews.
Items 1 to 4 were purchased on Buy 1 Get 1 offer..
Will have a detailed review on it coming up…
2) Boots Cucumber Cleansing Wipes (2x30 sheets) - AED 14:
These wipes are just
average. They do not take off all the makeup particularly those eyeshadows
applied with a base and definitely not waterproof mascara. They are moderately
saturated with a subtle scent. They are neither irritating nor do they dry out
the skin. Will not be purchasing again.
3) Soap & Glory Rub Your Nose In It Scrub (2x125ml) - AED 50:
Will have a detailed review on it coming up…
4) Avene Gentle
Milk Cleanser (2x200ml) - AED 110:

5) Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched 4.4g - AED 15:
These line of lip balms are much talked about on YouTube. It is a clear balm in a twist up tube with SPF20 and with a
pleasant fruity lemony scent. The company claims to provide 8 hour moisture but
this is so not true. To me this is just a regular lip balm with a glossy touch.
It is ideal for use under lipsticks or on top of lipsticks as a clear gloss.
6) Maybelline
Baby Lips in Pink Punch 4.4g - AED 15:
This is enriched with aloe leaf extract and vitamin E and has a Barbie doll pink tint to it which kind of washes out on tanned people like moi.It has a mixed fruity scent. So again it’s ideal for layering under a lipstick.

7)Blistex Daily
Lip Conditioner in Caring 7ml – AED 15:
This is a lip balm that is popular in the UK. It has SPF15 and comes in a twist open container which is a little bit inconvenient. In the container it has a pale yellow tint but applies clear on the lips. It is enriched with olive oil, grape seed oil and aloe vera and as the company claims it makes your lips luscious and nourished. A lovely product but initially when I applied I was stunned as it has a very strong minty plumping sensation and scent and the packaging doesn't warn you of it. All the same once I got comfortable with the feel I've grown to use it daily.

8)Bioderma
Sensibio H2o Cleanser 100ml - AED 33:
This is a product that even Lisa Eldridge (Founder of No. 7 cosmetics) uses on her models to take of makeup and cleanse. So seeing it in Boots and wanting to try it I bought the tiniest bottle available. And lets me tell you ladies, please stop reading this post, grab your wallets and buy this right away!!! It is way too good that I need an entire blog post to review it.
