Haul: Weekend @ DXB Mall - Faces, Sephora & More... !!!

So guys...

First of all ..Straight UP.. I sincerely apologize for being such a lazy schmuck and not posting anything...Now that I have boldly apologized let me come up with excuses to justify myself... I was super busy.. I was dead tired.. I was so caught up in the journey of life... Not working? Ok I guess then it's all just excuses cause I'm a person who believes that no matter how busy you are, you can find the time to do anything if you desire it with all your heart... So guys I just been plain lazy and moving on... Now all that aside here's a delicious haul on the way...

Here we are ..At a new week .. At a new month .. And at exactly the half of a year that feels like has just started.. So two weeks back, when we had a long weekend, I did not exactly have a long weekend as I was called back to my office for some crisis that had very adamantly and infuriatingly chosen to rise up. But still I managed to make my trip to DXB Mall and it was indeed fruitful one as the rest of this post goes to show.. That mall has never failed to mesmerize me ... Don't know why but it makes me feel that I have been transported to another world...And yet (at least concerning cosmetics) there was nothing I couldn't find that was not already there in Abu Dhabi (save for maybe Kiehl's and Molton Brown).. And sadly I couldn't still resist so I shopped... And here are my sins...

So the first store I got into was Sephora and how could I not.... OMG that place was literally buzzing with people and the sales were so busy running from one section to another and even at that pace they still stopped to greet everyone which was so pleasant and welcoming... I was really looking to getting something from Too Faced but after not finding anything tempting enough I browsed the Sephora stands and end up with this...

1) Sephora Upside Down Mascara - 15ml - AED 99 - God alone knows why this mascara is named as such..Personally I would have named it as the Twin Sisters or Double Decker as there is nothing upside down-ish but instead just two wands that you clamp your lashes in between and pull outwards....Innovative technique but will it stand the test? ... Stay tuned for reviews...

2) Sephora Bronzing Powder in Deep - 9g - AED 81 - Nothing interesting.. Just a plain ole matte bronzing powder that is non comedogenic, paraben free and oil free.. Hmmmm there's always a scoop at Sephora ;) ...

3) Sephora Profusion Blush in Blush Me - 0.14oz - AED 78 - This was a product that caught me by surprise cause as the Sephora sales was piling on products on my face I was determined not to get the blush as I I have enough at home to last me a lifetime.. But when I looked in the mirror .. I was stupefied... Baby! You're coming home with me ....

4) Sephora Rouge Infusion Lip Ink in 14 Fig - 0.152 fl.oz - AED 79 - It ain't no haul if there are no lip products and this colour was so tempting.. It is a deep brown induced red with maybe a pinch of plum tones...

5) Sephora Volume Booster Gloss Serum in Seduce Me - 2.63ml - AED 75 - This is one of those twist up glosses and is a fascinating mauvish with more of mauve ... When sheered out it is totally the perfect pink...

Next I went to the epic Bloomingdales and further drained out my wallet...

6) YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation in Beige - 30ml - AED 259 (gasp) - I initially went to get the Youth Liberator Serum Foundation but as usual my shade could not be matched and I had to try this.. I loved it at first sight as it totally evened out my complexion, wore naturally on me and was so hydrating... It does look dark in the picture ( only my photography skills are to be blamed ).. I did chose a shade darker than my present tone to be prepared for the rest of the summer...

7) Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Foundation in Honey Beige - 30g - AED 220 (sigh) - I had always wanted to try out the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation after Elle Fowler (YouTube guru) raved about it.. She must have used up about 20 tubes of it... And she has dry skin but when I tried it, it was too matte for my liking.. So I chose this instead which is a cream foundation, the first of its kind in my stash...And just feels as good as smoothing over a concentrated cream...

8) Laura Mercier Secret Concealer in 5 - 2.20g - AED 99 - And of course to top it all of I had to throw in the concealer too..

Hehe.. I just couldn't stop myself from scooping out a chunk...

As my hubby was checking out perfumes in Faces I had to throw in the last but not least item..

9) L'oreal Miss Manga Mascara - 8.5ml - AED 75 -  I had heard a lot of this mascara and thought why not... And besides the packaging was too good to pass..

So that's it guys... Sheesh shopping is exhausting... ;)

Take care...
