Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte By Kate Moss Lipsticks

Hello Divas....

Happy National Day ...Hope everyone's having a blast... And here's the Monday dues...

These are in fact the second round of colors released by Rimmel as part of the Kate Moss collection with just one difference:they are matte! So I was simply gazing at the beauty stands in Carrefour ( which by the way they have completely and gorgeously revamped!) where these beauties caught my eye and as usual I succumbed to it. I only got 2 shades out of the 6 or 7 on display. And now that I have been playing around with them for more than a week I so badly want to go and get the remaining as they are awesome!!

Product Claim:
Sumptuously Rich Matte Color with a sublime comfort.
Ruby Powder enriched formula.
Intense velvet color all day!

Judgement:

Packaging : I am not a big sucker for packaging because I feel that if the product is good (which is what ultimately you will be using..) then packaging should not be considered. But the best part of these lipsticks is the packaging which is so eye catching and festive. The tube is a gorgeous deep red with a black strip separating the caps and of course with the famous Kate Moss signature scrawled in black.

Finish: They are matte with a twist:they don't apply like one. Initially when applied they are creamy, smooth and glide on to provide a sheen finish but after some time it sets on like a matte color  They are not drying nor do they excessively highlight the dry lips underneath. Another point to be note is that they have a nice fruity scent but for those who don't like scented lip products this can be a turn off. Each tube contains 4 g of product.

Lasting Power: They do last for an average time such as 2.5 hours before fading sets in.

I own: Shades 107 and 105 (They are only numbered and not named...)

Shade 105 is a mid tone pink - brown neutral shade (suggested by the salesgirl) that looks great when paired with a dark lip liner. Its one of my everyday lipsticks now and my search for the perfect pinky nude shade has finally been successful.

Shade 107 has gained a notorious reputation... It is the one you spot Kate Moss carrying off like a piece of cake in the ad. It is a rich berry red with cool undertones. Can be used full on or as a subtle stain to suit your guts.

Shade 112 is a warm chocolate brown with a tinge of red that is great for a minimal look.

    1. Thanks... Yes I love the shade 105 too but on my own I wouldn't have picked it up because i used to think pink always looks bad on me but the sales lady insisted and I gave in.. Thank god I did...
