Review: MUA Trio Eyeshadow Palettes

MUA Cosmetics is just like the ELF cosmetics available in US... Great products at affordable prices and that is what drew me to this line initially... But the best part was that it shipped worldwide at flat rates and to top it all of there were amazing deals all the time... What more could you ask for ... So on one such sale I got these two lovelies

Product Claim: Fall in love with MUA’s new improved formula Merged Baked Eye Shadows. With three complimentary shades these blendable trios bring day, dusk and evening drama – just what every girl needs! Each contains two tone threads of colour creating a beautiful shimmer, sparkly enough to satisfy the glitter craving in you! Use the palest shade as a wash over the eye and under the lid, pop the middle shade in the inner corner and use the darkest shade blending out to the outer corner. For highlighting the cheeks try using the lightest shade sweeping just above the cheekbone to create a pearly glow.

Judgement:

Packaging :These come in a round palette with a a small knob that you have to press to open the lid. The packaging is fairly average and quite unnecessarily bulky. There is a two sided sponge applicator included and of course 3 mounds of eye shadow.

Product: These are fairly decent eye shadows. Some as highly pigmented and some not so much and in a minute you can see which. Most of them are soft shadows that go on for a smooth application. There is a considerable amount of fallout when you dip your brushes in but upon application it is clean and no fallout. They do last pretty much all day with a base underneath as I've never worn without a base and are easily blend able. So let's get personal now ;)

I own: Chocolate Box and Emotions.

Chocolate Box: It contains three beautiful eye shadows all of which are moderately and nicely pigmented shimmery. The individual shadows are neither named nor numbered so I've numbered them for convenience sake.

Shade 1: Peach with a pinch of bronze tone

Shade 2: Chocolate brown with gold shimmer

Shade 3: This looks almost similar to Shade 2 but is actually a brown with purple undertones

Emotions: This trio has yet again three gorgeous neutral everyday colors. The shadows have some gorgeous veining in them and almost a multidimensional effect when the lights hit them. But I have a gripe with this one:-

A) Shade 2 is barely pigmented
B) Shade 1 is not soft at all and is in fact quite scratchy.

Now let's see what the colors are...
Shade 1: Muted purple with golden shimmer
Shade 2: White- Beige - Gold color
Shade 3: Coppery gold
